Busan
A day in Busan, a busy port city with lots of fishing boats and general shipping.
First day in Korea I just couldn’t do the broccolli meat and rice for breakfast, but by today I have been broken – fruit loops just have less appeal so fish stock soup with greens and curry and rice it was – for breakfast!
We spent the first part of the day finishing putting the bikes back together – handguards, screens, etc and I emptied our two suitcases into our bike bags. Now just need to give away the suitcases, the staff seem quite keen.
Then we went out for a walk. Busan is hilly and so we were up and down steps all day. Nice doors here, this is the norm.
Cars drive down these narrow roads. Houses are small – our little hotel room is probably quite large to the Koreans.
More markets today – so much to choose from. Just one of a row of bookstores.
Visited the fish market – mostly different fish to ours in NZ of course – the ones in the tanks were still moving, and the big crab was trying to make his escape!
This garden was on the 13th floor of a shopping mall, my girls would have so much fun here, even I saw lots of clothes I would like, both in the mall and the streets and markets around.
My grandsons would love one of these – and the second photo reminded me of Mackenzie, she has a cute little bag just like that 🙂
Much concentration going on here.
When you see a sign like this …
…and then have to order our meal off this, it kind of leaves you wondering…
…but all delicious, enough for 2 as when we emptied one plate they refilled it, and it only cost about $12.
There is much hilarity coming from the bathroom as I write this as Charlie fiddles with all the buttons on the toilet!!
Looking forward to getting on the road tomorrow – bikes are not allowed on the motorways so finding our way out will be interesting.
The breakfast at least gives you a solid base for a good day’s ride.
Don’t want any more details about Charlie on the loo though. 😉
Hahaha he wasn’t ON the loo – he was just playing with the buttons and water was spraying everywhere!!
