Mary Petrie
I received some very sad news on Saturday morning, my mum had passed away, and oh, I felt so far away.
Even though mum was 86, it was still unexpected. Although she had her aches and pains with arthritis, her mind was sharp, she was active with her croquet competitions (won the championship recently), and still driving locally. But mum had a massive heart attack and suddenly she was gone. I am thankful that she went quickly, but it is still too soon for me.
So 3rd June was a rough day for me, but my family and friends have been praying and God is my comforter and my strength. Once we got back on the road again, I have been having some lovely times of reflection inside my helmet.
So we are on the road, but right now my heart is back home.
I will catch up with the blog sometime soon.
Love you mum, will miss you xxx

Hi dear Janet and Charlie
not that long ago you took your mum on a road trip. I know you have many memories to look back thru as you travel
May Our Lord be very close to you at this time. Love always Marilyn and Gordon. Xx
Thank you so much. Mum loved our blogs and this time she was set with the map and itinerary. Is sad to think that she’s not there this time. That road trip we had is a special memory, we had a lot of laughs 🙂
Dear Janet, so sad to hear of the passing of your dearest Mum, we have been praying for you back here in AKL. We both lost our Mum’s in the last 6 years, it has not been easy, we were both close to both our Mums, very fortunate indeed. Although, lost is not the right word, as was your Mum, ours were Christian ladies who we know have gone on before us – how terribly exciting our reunions will be!!
We are thinking of you, hoping that this significant loss has not made you homesick to spoil many of your days away. We are now catching up on your posts, looking forward to reading of your exploits to date….
Thank you xx
